How to clean white On Cloud shoes
Updated October 29, 2026
On Clouds have two cleaning challenges: light mesh that shows every mark, and the hollow “cloud” pods on the sole that collect grit and small stones. Here’s a gentle routine that handles both.
Step by step
Clear the pods
Tap the soles together, then brush out grit and stones from the cloud pods with the stiff side of a brush.
Remove laces and insoles
Clean them separately and let them dry on their own.
Dry-brush the upper
Get loose dust off before anything gets wet.
Mist and brush the mesh
A few fine sprays per section, then soft circles. Don’t soak the shoe.
Wipe it clean
Use a microfiber cloth, turning it to a clean side as you go.
Air-dry at room temperature
Stuff with paper and keep away from radiators and sun. Put laces and insoles back only when everything is dry.
The mistake that ruins Clouds
Soaking them or drying them with heat. On’s light mesh and foam don’t like either. A fine mist and an overnight air-dry are all they need.
Small habits that help
Clap the soles together after a walk, brush off dried mud before it sets, and store them somewhere dry with the laces loosened.
