What your first clean looks like
Brush off loose dust and dirt first, so it doesn’t turn into muddy streaks when it gets wet.
2–3 sprays per section. Brush gently in small circles. The cleaner stays where you spray it: no bowl, no pouring.
Wipe with the cloth and turn it to a clean side. You’ll see the dirt on the cloth, not in the shoe.
Everyday grime comes off in one clean. Older, set-in stains may need a second or third pass. Air-dry at room temperature, away from sun and heat (about [X] hours).
Five minutes a week keeps new dirt from setting into the knit, so you never face a deep clean again.
Yellowed soles are the foam aging, not dirt. No cleaner can reverse that, so we won’t promise it.
See it in action
Why a product designer made a sneaker cleaner
I bought white Hokas, and within a week they were dirty. The best-selling cleaner had no clear instructions and no sprayer. I poured, dipped and scrubbed, and the mesh only got dirtier. I’m a product designer, so I designed the cleaner, and the instructions, I wish I’d had. Now my white Hokas stay white, and it takes five minutes.
Questions before your first clean
No. There’s no bleach or brighteners, and a plant-based water softener stops hard-water minerals from drying into a yellow ring. Fabric can also yellow from leftover soap or drying in heat or sun, so wipe it off and air-dry indoors. Yellowed soles are the foam aging, which no cleaner can reverse.
